NEW Inproba Sriracha Sauce
28 August 2023
The well-known spicy sauce from Thailand. To expand our current Inproba sauces line, we introduce the Sriracha sauce.
What is Sriracha Sauce?
We increasingly see this sauce on the menu. On its own or just mixed with mayonnaise, for example. But what exactly is this Sriracha sauce? The name of this sauce comes from its country and place of origin. Namely the coastal town of Sri Racha, in Thailand. Made with fresh chillies, garlic, vinegar, salt and sugar, you can think of this sauce as the sambal of Thai cuisine. The sauce has a creamy texture and is red in colour.
Applications in dishes
The sauce can be used in various ways. Think of it as a pure (dip) sauce or as a dip sauce mixed with mayonnaise, sour cream or cottage cheese. Mix the sriracha with, for example, honey, olive oil, soy sauce and some lemon juice and spice up your salads with this dressing. Perhaps not directly for our European cuisines, but in Asia, sriracha is also added to an omelette or noodles for breakfast. Of course, it is also a great ingredient for in a marinade. Think sticky chicken marinade or, on the contrary, add a little spice to your dish by adding it in a curry-like sauce. And let's not forget the ultimate snack moments, sriracha sauce gives a unique flavour to nachos, wraps, sandwiches or a 'plain' piece of cheese.
