The beginning

The history of the traditional company Langnese Honing begins at the end of a spring day in 1925: the young importer Karl Rolf Seyferth buys 5,000 kg of Californian honey at the Hamburg fair. Spontaneously, because the manager of the ‘German-Chinese egg products company’ had nothing at all to do with honey until then. Against all odds, after initial setbacks, business flourished and demand for honey increased. From the impulsive purchase on the stock exchange, a flourishing honey trade developed after only 2 years.

Innovation products for
honey lovers

In 1985, the first beekeeping specialities were introduced: five varieties offered a variety for the quality-conscious epicurean. To cope with rapidly increasing sales, a new company building with a modern filling and packaging plant was commissioned in Bargteheide in 1998.

Langnese honey is still one of the most popular honeys in the Netherlands today. The sympathetic brand has lost nothing of its original vitality and charisma. Only rarely does one come across such a harmonious interplay of product and brand as with Langnese.
